The Cleveland Cavaliers have had an eventful offseason, not only because they’ve acquired guard Lonzo Ball and forward Larry Nance Jr., but also due to personal milestones reached by their players off the court.<\/p>\n

Unexpectedly on Friday, Cavaliers star Donovan Mitchell took to Instagram to reveal his engagement to R&B artist Coco Jones. He shared a heartfelt photo of the couple sharing a kiss and a video of his proposal in a picturesque tropical setting.<\/p>\n

There have been speculations about Mitchell and Jones\u2019s relationship since around 2024, according to an article by Aimee Lutkin from ELLE<\/em>. When probed by renowned NFL tight end Shannon Sharpe in March regarding the rumors, Jones responded cautiously, expressing her intent to “protect my family and those I love.”<\/p>\n

Both celebrities have had a remarkable year in 2025. Mitchell has not only scored an average of 24 points per game but also earned a spot on his second All-NBA team. Meanwhile, Jones’s debut album, Why Not More?<\/em>, has risen to the top 20 in the R&B and hip hop charts.<\/p>\n

Beyond his team’s successful 64-win season, Mitchell now has the additional excitement of planning a wedding.<\/p>\n
