This happened during the Knicks vs. Celtics game on TNT when Reggie Miller’s commentary often left me scratching my head.<\/p>\n

In one instance, Miller noted, \u201ceveryone is focusing on Brunson.\u201d<\/p>\n

Miller also expressed surprise when Brunson missed a crucial floater in the fourth quarter, which would have secured a win for New York. Miller described it as the perfect opportunity.<\/p>\n

However, there were two defenders between him and the basket, and it was a contested one-handed shot. Miller analyzed the situation as if Brunson was unguarded, making the layup seem like an easy shot, which it clearly was not.<\/p>\n

Miller\u2019s most glaring error occurred during the final seconds of overtime when he claimed the Knicks, leading by three, had committed a foul on Jaylen Brown during a shooting motion, awarding him three free throws. It was clear that the foul occurred before Brown could attempt a shot.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Miller, set to be NBC\u2019s lead analyst next season, frequently corrected his mistakes post-facto, leading to a frustrating viewing experience.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

It\u2019s hoped that he will improve for Game 2 on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

2. <\/strong>Jason Kosmicki, the radio announcer for the Nuggets, delivered a memorable call on Aaron Gordon\u2019s game-winning three-pointer that clinched a victory for Denver against the Oklahoma City Thunder.<\/p>\n

Jim Fagan, who previously did voiceovers for NBC during the 90s NBA broadcasts, passed away in 2017. Surprisingly, NBC intends to use an AI version of Fagan’s voice as it resumes NBA coverage.<\/p>\n

I find NBC\u2019s fascination with AI perplexing. Last year, they utilized an AI version of Al Michaels for the Olympics. While nostalgia is appealing, it would be preferable to have live humans perform the voiceovers instead of relying on AI, which can be unsettling.<\/p>\n

NEWS: Jim Fagan was the voice of the NBA on NBC’s promos during the 90s. He passed away in 2019.<\/p>\n
