Wade continued to express his deep gratitude for his experiences in Miami and the honor given to him by the team.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s absolutely surreal. Coming from inner-city Chicago and ending my career with a statue outside the arena, it\u2019s incredibly meaningful,” Wade shared. “I dedicated my all to basketball, both on and off the court, and for the Miami Heat to recognize me like this, it\u2019s truly special.”<\/p>\n

“Despite social media\u2019s attempts to overshadow this moment, I understand the jokes and am in on them. But for those who know my story and how far I\u2019ve come, this was a monumental moment for me and my family,” Wade explained.<\/p>\n
