\nBrad Stevens has confirmed that he will not be involved in the search for a new head coach at Indiana University. Recent speculations suggested that Mike Woodson, the current coach of the Indiana Hoosiers, might not be returning next season, though he intends to complete the current season.\n<\/p>\n

\nStevens, currently serving as the president of basketball operations and the acting general manager for the Boston Celtics, expressed his satisfaction with his role and dismissed any notion of relocating to his native Indiana. In a conversation with Jeff Goodman of The Field of 68<\/em>, Stevens reiterated that he is not considering the Indiana coaching position.\n<\/p>\n

\nStevens had a remarkable stint as the head coach at Butler University from 2007 to 2013, leading the Bulldogs to four consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances and twice to the national championship finals. He transitioned to the Celtics as head coach in 2013 and moved into an executive role before the 2021-22 season.\n<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\nThis season, Indiana holds a 15-10 record with a below-average 6-8 in Big Ten conference games. Last season, they finished with a 19-14 record but did not qualify for the NCAA Tournament. Woodson took over as head coach in 2021 and has compiled a record of 78-50 so far. Despite hopes for a change, the idea of Stevens taking over will not materialize.\n<\/p>\n
