The NBA community is still buzzing from the news of Luka Doncic joining the Los Angeles Lakers this past weekend. However, the focus is shifting back to ongoing games, particularly with an exciting primetime showdown between the two leading teams in the Eastern Conference on the schedule.<\/p>\n

The Boston Celtics traveled to face Donovan Mitchell and the top-ranked Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday night. Mitchell made an early statement in the game, throwing down what could be considered the dunk of the year.<\/p>\n

Only four and a half minutes into the matchup, Mitchell cleverly navigated past Boston\u2019s Jayson Tatum and Jrue Holiday with a slick dribble, carving out a clear lane to the basket.<\/p>\n

As Celtics center Kristaps Porzingis moved to block him, Mitchell pulled back his arm and powerfully dunked the ball over the seven-foot tall defender, electrifying the crowd at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.<\/p>\n

As the game progressed, the Cavaliers aimed to improve their league-leading 40-9 record, while the Celtics, sitting at 35-15, sought to close the gap in the standings. The teams have evenly split their regular season encounters so far, and they’ll meet once more on February 28.<\/p>\n
