\nOn Saturday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers claimed their third consecutive victory by defeating the Golden State Warriors at the Staples Center, improving their season record to 25 wins and 18 losses. The contest was tightly contested with just a one-point difference at halftime, but LeBron James spearheaded a strong second-half performance for the Lakers, which was further helped by Stephen Curry’s unusual shooting slump.<\/p>\n

\nCurry, who had scored 13 points in the first half, failed to score in the second, missing all eight of his attempts. This off-night contributed significantly to the Warriors’ 10-point loss. Post-game, when questioned about how the Lakers managed to neutralize the NBA’s top shooter, LeBron shared their surprisingly straightforward and somewhat humorous strategy.<\/p>\n

\nGiven Curry’s dominant track record, sometimes the only viable defense is hoping he has an off day. Even this past summer’s incidents, where a French player with “inflatable Tube Man arms” couldn’t deter Curry from not only shooting but scoring, highlight that sometimes luck is what you rely on.<\/p>\n

\nOn that Saturday night, luck was indeed on the Lakers’ side. Whether or not they’ll be as fortunate in future encounters remains to be seen, but their approach will likely remain unchanged. After all, what other strategy could they possibly employ?<\/p>\n
