1. <\/strong>For several months, it has been known that NBC, ESPN\/ABC, and Amazon are set to become the NBA\u2019s new broadcasting partners. <\/p>\n

On Wednesday, the league and these networks have reportedly sealed the deal, as reported by Andrew Marchand of The Athletic<\/em>.<\/p>\n

We have already discussed at length about TNT losing NBA rights after being partners with the league since 1984, so we\u2019ll put that aside for now and focus on what these new deals mean for you, the viewer.<\/p>\n

The key point is that you’ll have access to numerous NBA games during the regular season, although it may be a significant hassle to keep track of where the games are being broadcast each night.<\/p>\n

ESPN’s agreement permits games to be aired on ESPN and ABC. NBC’s contract allows for games on NBC and Peacock. Furthermore, the NBA’s TV schedule will be disrupted by the NFL, as the NBA will have to wait until the NFL season ends to broadcast in slots currently occupied by Sunday Night Football <\/em>on NBC and Thursday Night Football on <\/em>Amazon.<\/p>\n

So, if you’re an avid NBA fan who enjoys watching regular-season games every night, here’s what the new schedule will look like starting with the 2025\u201326 season:<\/p>\n

Sunday<\/strong>: NBC, ESPN
Mondays<\/strong>: Peacock
Tuesdays<\/strong>: NBC
Wednesday<\/strong>: ESPN
Thursday<\/strong>: Amazon
Friday<\/strong>: Amazon, ESPN
Saturday<\/strong>: ABC, Amazon<\/p>\n

This is the compromise in the new streaming world: making games harder for fans to locate and access, but attracting $76 billion in new TV deals.<\/p>\n

2. <\/strong>A brand-new episode of SI Media With Jimmy Traina<\/em> was released this morning, featuring an interview with Ben Fischer, an NFL reporter for the Sports Business Journal <\/em>.<\/p>\n

Fischer covered the antitrust trial in which the NFL was ordered by a jury to pay $4.7 billion for violating antitrust laws in distributing out-of-market Sunday afternoon games on a premium subscription service. How much will Sunday Ticket customers receive and when? What are the chances of the NFL winning an appeal? What does the verdict mean for future NFL game distribution?
