It appears that Klay Thompson has found a new team to call home, the reigning champions of the Western Conference.<\/p>\n

The NBA four-time winner is purportedly set to sign a three-year contract valued at $50 million with the Dallas Mavericks. This deal will be part of a sign-and-trade arrangement involving the Golden State Warriors and the Charlotte Hornets. <\/p>\n

This move will benefit the Mavericks as they look to fill the void left by Derrick Jones Jr., who recently signed with the Los Angeles Clippers. In addition to Thompson, Dallas has also recruited Naji Marshall and Quentin Grimes to strengthen their lineup this offseason.<\/p>\n

Though he may not be at the same level he once was, Thompson’s presence still influences the betting odds. DraftKings Sportsbook has adjusted the Mavericks’ odds of winning the NBA Finals from +1100 to +1000. <\/p>\n

Based on these odds, Dallas has approximately a 9.09 percent chance of securing the 2024-25 championship. <\/p>\n

With his skill set, Thompson poses a greater threat to rival defenses than Jones, Green, and other players Dallas had in their rotation last season. <\/p>\n
