He had led the team to a conference finals and secured another playoff berth previously. Discussing his termination, Ham expressed to Marc Spears of <em>Andscape<\/em> that he felt he had earned the right to continue with the team.\n<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p class=\"tagStyle_16dbupz-o_O-style_mxvz7o-o_O-style_12bse5w-o_O-style_6s3kpz\" data-mm-id=\"_ge9kt0rm0\">\n&#8220;With the performance I delivered, I believe I\u2019d be looking at a contract extension in any other team,&#8221; Ham stated. &#8220;This isn\u2019t about emotions; it\u2019s about the facts. We moved from missing the playoffs to reaching the final four in the NBA, the conference finals. Plus, we won the in-season tournament, overcame numerous injuries, and succeeded in both our play-in games to make it to the playoffs. Everyone remembers our loss to Denver, but they overlook the journey there, including victories over a formidable young Memphis team and Golden State.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p class=\"tagStyle_16dbupz-o_O-style_mxvz7o-o_O-style_12bse5w-o_O-style_6s3kpz\" data-mm-id=\"_l11key53k\">\nDuring his two seasons as head coach, Ham led the team with a record of 90-74 and held a
