The Golden State Warriors will face the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Chase Center without their star player, Steph Curry, this Wednesday night.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Earlier on Wednesday, it was announced that Curry would not participate due to pain in both of his knees, described as bilateral knee pain.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“Steph has been dealing with some discomfort over the past week. His knees have been a particular cause of concern,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr explained before Wednesday’s game. “We’re hoping the rest will allow him a couple of days to prepare for our upcoming road trip.”<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Kerr also expressed optimism that Curry would be ready to return for the team’s next game against the Phoenix Suns, which begins a brief two-game tour on the road.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“He just needs a little time to recover from the tendinitis in his knees,” Kerr added. “We believe a few days of rest should be beneficial for him.”<\/p>\n

This season, Curry has already missed four games, three of which were in late October and early November due to an ankle issue. During his absence, the Warriors managed a perfect 3\u20130 record with victories over the New Orleans Pelicans (twice) and the Houston Rockets.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Despite these challenges, Curry and the Warriors have had an impressive start to the season, holding a 12\u20135 record. In a career-low average of 29.7 minutes on the court per game, Curry has been averaging 22.4 points, 6.5 assists, and 5.4 rebounds, while shooting 47.5% overall and 44.4% from three-point range.<\/p>\n
