As they travel across key states, Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are drawing impressive crowds, a sight the Democratic Party hasn\u2019t witnessed since the days of Barack Obama\u2019s campaign. Tim Walz, Harris\u2019s running mate, has been quick to point this out during his speeches, frequently noting, \u201cKamala Harris has brought new energy to the campaign.\u201d<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The campaign team for the current Vice President is celebrating a successful tour, especially as Harris begins to lead in the polls across crucial swing states. According to surveys conducted by The New York Times and Siena College, Harris is currently polling at 50% against Donald Trump<\/a>\u2019s 46% in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.<\/p>\n

Challenges Ahead<\/h2>\n

However, there\u2019s still a lot of work to be done. Harris has yet to unveil a detailed political agenda and has so far avoided answering questions from the press. This has drawn sharp criticism from her Republican opponent. To address these concerns, Harris has promised to outline her policies soon and is planning to hold a press conference or interview “very soon.”<\/p>\n

Convincing the Undecided<\/h2>\n

Even though Harris is now polling ahead of Joe Biden<\/a>, her campaign\u2019s focus is on winning over independent voters\u2014those who remain undecided about whom to support in the upcoming November election. In Georgia, a key battleground state, independents are divided on her candidacy, and she still faces challenges in winning them over.<\/p>\n

In Atlanta, our correspondent Edward Maille spoke with Mario, a business owner who remains unsure whether he\u2019ll vote in November. However, if he does, his vote will likely go to Donald Trump. \u201cEntrepreneurs are pretty individualistic, and I think they\u2019d prefer Trump for his business acumen,\u201d Mario said. He also expressed reservations about Harris based on her gender, stating, \u201cI\u2019m traditional. I believe men should be the leaders.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another undecided voter, Mezmure, feels Harris lacks the connection with working-class communities that Joe Biden had. \u201cI think Biden resonated more with the working class than Kamala Harris. But the campaign is just starting, and it\u2019s already looking better for her,\u201d he acknowledged.<\/p>\n

For Ashley, a pseudonym, Harris is still somewhat of an unknown figure. \u201cThere\u2019s a lot she\u2019s done that people just don\u2019t know about. Once they learn more about her record, they\u2019ll likely be more supportive.\u201d As for her own vote, Ashley is already decided\u2014come November, she\u2019ll be voting Democrat.<\/p>\n

As the campaign progresses, Harris and Walz continue to build momentum, with their sights set on winning over the crucial undecided voters who could make all the difference in the upcoming
