    How TwitchCon San Diego 2025 Launched Its Biggest Celebration Yet<\/h2>\n

    Here’s what went down on opening day: TwitchCon 2025<\/b> kicked off Oct. 17<\/b> at 10:30 AM<\/b> with an opening ceremony that packed the Glitch Theater<\/b>. DJ Diplo<\/b> – whose real name is Thomas Pentz<\/b> – warmed up the crowd with a high-energy set before Twitch CEO Dan Clancy<\/b> took the stage to announce platform updates. Popular streamers Jessu<\/b> and TheSushiDragon<\/b> made appearances, and the energy was off the charts as thousands of fans danced to Diplo’s<\/b> EDM beats.<\/p>\n

    What makes this crazy is that it’s TwitchCon’s 10th anniversary<\/b> – the first one launched back in San Francisco<\/b> in 2015<\/b>. San Diego<\/b> has hosted TwitchCon more times than any other city, making it the unofficial home for the convention. This year’s event runs through Sunday, Oct. 19<\/b>, with 3-day passes<\/b> priced at $249<\/b> and single-day tickets ranging from $159-$169<\/b>. Over 30,000 attendees<\/b> are expected, and the convention’s already breaking records for its most ambitious programming yet.<\/p>\n
