But is this the end of the series? Squid Game enthusiasts have a reason to celebrate as Season 3 is already in the works. However, the series’ creator Hwang Dong Hyuk has expressed his intention to conclude the story with these upcoming episodes, marking the end of the series.

While there was a three-year wait between the end of Season 1 and the beginning of Season 2, the sequel is indeed on its way soon. Why Has Squid Game Sparked Controversy in Schools?

Squid Game has been a massive hit on Netflix. The South Korean series features violently played children’s games, often resulting in death. The show’s success has led many children who have heard about Squid Game, which is not suitable for those under 16. In schoolyards, some replicate the series’ challenges, raising alarms within the Ministry of National Education. On LCI, Jean-Michel Blanquer called for “responsibility” from everyone, so that the youngest viewers do not watch the series. “It’s clear that platforms have a responsibility… and it’s normally prohibited for under 16s, perhaps we need to consider measures that allow for real parental control over such matters.” However, a parental control feature does exist on the streaming platform, under Account > Profile and parental control > Access restrictions.
