Fans of Sandman have received mixed news. Starting with the bad: the show has been canceled following sexual violence allegations against Neil Gaiman that emerged early in 2025. The good news is that the storyline will conclude with Season 2.
The first half of Sandman Season 2 premiered on Netflix on Thursday, July 3, 2025. However, not all episodes are available yet: currently, only six episodes are ready to watch. The next set of episodes, from 7 to 11, will be released on July 24, followed by the final, twelfth episode on July 31.
The new episodes will delve into the anticipated conflict between Morpheus and Lucifer, hinted at in the last episode’s cliffhanger. To recap, The Sandman is an adaptation of the graphic novel series by Neil Gaiman (Coraline, American Gods, Good Omens), and is recommended for viewers over 18 due to its dark narrative, featuring the journey of the Sandman.
Yes, it’s true: The Sandman will return to Netflix!
