In a recent NBA preseason game held in Washington, D.C., the Washington Wizards emerged victorious against the Toronto Raptors. Kyle Kuzma was particularly notable, scoring 22 points in just 27 minutes on the court. As Kuzma enters his eighth NBA season, it’s apparent that he has considerable freedom to take shots in Washington.

During the match, Kuzma attempted 17 field goals, including a substantial 11 three-point shots, successfully making three.

However, not all his attempts were successful; he missed three of these three-point attempts completely.

In the first half alone, Kuzma had four unsuccessful shots that didn’t hit the rim—three from beyond the arc and one from the free-throw line.

While the game’s outcome didn’t affect the official standings, the fact that all four missed shots were recorded is less than ideal. Missing so many shots in a public exhibition, especially a free throw, is not a good look.

Last season, Kuzma, who has a career free throw percentage of 73%, was the leading scorer for the Wizards with an average of 22.2 points per game. Performances like these, however, highlight the challenges faced by the team, which had one of the worst records in the NBA.
