In a thrilling overtime game on Saturday, the Denver Nuggets triumphed over the San Antonio Spurs with a final score of 122-111, led by Nikola Jokic’s impressive 46 points and Michael Porter Jr.’s contribution of 28 points.

Russell Westbrook, who has been a notable addition to the Nuggets this season, chipped in with nine points, 10 rebounds, and six assists. Despite skepticism about his role as a dominant ball-handler coming off the bench at this point in his career, Westbrook has effectively integrated into Denver’s team dynamics.

Westbrook, who is enjoying a season with his highest three-point shooting percentage since the 2020-21 season with the Washington Wizards at 31.9%, unfortunately made a significant blunder in Saturday’s game.

During a key moment in the game, as Jokic was being double-teamed by Spurs’ Victor Wembanyama and guard Devin Vassel, Westbrook intelligently cut to the basket. Jokic passed him the ball for what appeared to be a straightforward layup.

However, Westbrook missed the basket entirely with an airball from very close range.

Despite this mishap, the Nuggets managed to secure the victory in the overtime period.

Westbrook will be hoping for a better performance next time.
