NBA Top Bets: Warriors vs. Grizzlies, Booker’s Big Night, Wolves vs. Nuggets Predictions!

By: Mike

Tuesday night features key Western Conference games, including a significant clash where the Denver Nuggets hope to prevent a complete seasonal defeat by the Minnesota Timberwolves, capturing the spotlight on April 1.

On the same evening, the Golden State Warriors are vying for a position within the top five seeds as they face off against the Memphis Grizzlies. The Grizzlies, who have recently dismissed their head coach, have seen a notable decline in their standings within the last couple of months.

There are numerous betting opportunities in tonight’s games, including those involving teams that are not aiming for wins. Is it possible to leverage these situations, such as the one in the Philadelphia 76ers-New York Knicks game, where a less competitive team meets a playoff-bound opponent?

For Tuesday’s games, I have several bets in mind, such as a spread bet for the Warriors-Grizzlies game and a player prop bet on Phoenix Suns’ Devin Booker.

Let’s analyze these betting choices as the regular season draws to a close.

Top NBA Bets for Today

Odds provided by DraftKings Sportsbook.

  • Devin Booker OVER 33.5 Points and Assists (-120) – 0.5 unit
  • Zaccharie Risacher OVER 14.5 Points (-120) – 0.5 unit
  • Golden State Warriors -5.5 (-110) vs. Memphis Grizzlies – 0.5 unit
  • Minnesota Timberwolves +3 (-108) vs. Denver Nuggets – 0.5 unit

Devin Booker OVER 33.5 Points and Assists (-120) – 0.5 unit

With key players like Kevin Durant (ankle) out and Bradley Beal (hamstring) questionable, Devin Booker is expected to carry a heavy load to keep the Suns in playoff contention.

Phoenix benefited as the teams ahead in the standings, Dallas and Sacramento, lost their recent games, giving the Suns a slight advantage.

Booker, who scored 19 points and dished out 12 assists in his last game against Milwaukee, faces a team that has struggled defensively against point guards this season. Though not a traditional point guard, Booker often initiates much of the Suns’ offensive plays.

With Durant sidelined, it’s likely that Booker will see an increase in shooting opportunities, potentially pushing him over the projected total on points alone. Currently, he averages 25.3 points and 7.0 assists per game.

Zaccharie Risacher OVER 14.5 Points (-120) – 0.5 unit

Atlanta Hawks’ rookie Zaccharie Risacher has been exceptional since the All-Star break, averaging 14.9 points per game with a shooting efficiency of 49.5% from the field and 41.1% from the three-point line.

He has scored 15 or more points in six of his last eight appearances, including a remarkable 36-point performance on 21 shots during his latest game against Milwaukee.

With increased responsibilities following injuries to teammates and recent trades, Risacher is expected to continue getting ample opportunities, averaging 13.1 shots over his last eight games, providing him with a reliable basis to meet or exceed this points threshold.

Golden State Warriors -5.5 (-110) vs. Memphis Grizzlies – 0.5 unit

The Memphis Grizzlies have struggled significantly, failing to secure a win against teams with a winning record since early February. They are now underdogs in their upcoming game against the Golden State Warriors.

The Warriors have shown impressive form, boasting an 18-4 record in games that Jimmy Butler has played this season, and they currently rank seventh in net rating over their last 10 games. In contrast, Memphis ranks 18th over the same period.

Following a loss to the Boston Celtics, there is speculation that Memphis might rest some key players, including Ja Morant, who has faced several injuries this season.

Given their poor performance as home underdogs this season (2-4 against the spread) and recent management decisions indicating dissatisfaction with the team’s direction, it’s difficult to have confidence in Memphis at this juncture.

I am inclined to back the Warriors to cover the spread in Tuesday’s matchup.

Minnesota Timberwolves +3 (-108) vs. Denver Nuggets – 0.5 unit

The Denver Nuggets have struggled against the Minnesota Timberwolves this season, potentially facing the upcoming game without Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon, both listed as questionable.

Minnesota is pushing for a top-six seed in the West and has shown solid performance recently, ranking in the top 10 in net rating over their last 10 games with the No. 4 offense and No. 9 defense.

Denver’s recent form has been less impressive, ranking 17th in net rating over the same period, and they have had difficulties handling Minnesota’s defensive size and length, a trend dating back to last season’s playoffs.

Given these factors, an upset by the Timberwolves wouldn’t be surprising, especially if either Murray or Gordon is unable to play. Minnesota also boasts one of the better records against the spread as road underdogs this season (8-5).
