Luka Doncic, the Los Angeles Lakers’ standout player, is facing health challenges during the third game of their first-round playoff series against the Minnesota Timberwolves. ESPN journalists Lisa Salters and Dave McMenamin have reported that Doncic is battling a stomach ailment this Friday.
Despite the illness, Doncic is participating in Game 3, showing determination as the Lakers and Timberwolves each hold one win in the series so far. Even though he is playing, it’s evident that Doncic has had better days.
Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times noted that Doncic has been dealing with this stomach issue since Thursday. His performance has notably suffered; he managed only five points, hitting just two of eight attempts from the field and missing all four three-point tries in the first 18 minutes of the game. Nonetheless, he contributed with five assists in the first half, keeping the team’s offense in motion.
Despite feeling unwell, Doncic is committed to competing and is eager to help his team secure a win on the road, which would give them the lead in the series.
