NBA star LeBron James expressed his admiration for fellow player Steph Curry on Thursday evening following Curry’s achievement of making his 4,000th career three-pointer during the Golden State Warriors’ 130–104 victory against the Sacramento Kings.

Coming into the game, Curry needed just two three-pointers to hit the 4,000 mark. He achieved his first in the opening quarter and the milestone second in the third quarter. Post-match, Curry, who just turned 37, shared that reaching this milestone was a “special moment” and was particularly pleased that it occurred in San Francisco.

Subsequently, James took to social media to celebrate Curry’s achievement.

“4K from Trey is CRAZY!!!!! Congrats my brother!!” James posted on X (previously known as Twitter), adding several fire emojis and a chef emoji, referring to Curry’s nickname “Chef Curry”.

If there’s anyone who can appreciate Curry’s recent landmark, it’s James. The Los Angeles Lakers forward, who is only three years older than Curry, continues to maintain top form just like his Warriors counterpart. Notably, James himself recently became the first player in NBA history to surpass 50,000 career points, combining regular season and postseason play.

This all underscores the point—making it to the NBA is tough, but staying and continuing to set records past the age of 35 is even tougher. Yet, both of these icons continue to amaze us, with Steph being the most recent example.
