This Monday, the Mavericks took part in a light-hearted “King of the Court” 1-on-1 tournament. The prize? A UFC-style championship belt awarded for their skill, as announced on the team’s social media on X. As expected, star player Kyrie Irving emerged as the champion, beating out teammates like Luka Doncic. Footage of the event was uploaded by the team for fans to view online.

Irving, who joined the Mavericks in 2023 after being traded from the Brooklyn Nets, has been performing exceptionally this season with averages of 24.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game, contributing significantly to the Mavericks’ strong start of 16–8 for the season.
