The Sacramento Kings have announced that they will be appointing Scott Perry, a seasoned NBA executive, as their new general manager following Monte McNair’s departure, as per information from ESPN’s Shams Charania.

Perry had a brief tenure with the Kings in 2017 as vice president of basketball operations before he moved to the New York Knicks, where he served as general manager until the conclusion of the 2023 basketball season.

He steps into the role previously held by McNair, who left the Kings by mutual agreement on Wednesday night after a five-year tenure. The Kings’ season came to an end following a defeat to the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA play-in tournament.
