The 2025 NBA All-Star Game is set to take place in San Francisco, bringing together top-tier basketball talent for a weekend filled with sports celebrations and competitive play.

This year marks the 11th All-Star selection for Los Angeles Clippers guard James Harden, who last participated in the All-Star festivities in 2022. Currently, the three-time NBA scoring champion is averaging 21.5 points, 8.6 assists, and 5.8 rebounds per game for the Clippers.

Saturday saw the All-Star players convene for a practice session at the former Oracle Arena, previously the home court of the Golden State Warriors until their 2019 relocation to Chase Center. The Oracle Arena was known for its intimidating atmosphere during the Warriors’ years of championship glory. During a media session after practice, Harden shared his thoughts on returning to Oracle Arena for the first time since 2019.

“This place still gives me nightmares,” Harden stated candidly to the press, though his comment was accompanied by a broad grin.

During his tenure with the Houston Rockets, Harden’s squads were knocked out of the playoffs by the Warriors four times, a period marked by the prowess of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and later, Kevin Durant.

With Durant now playing for the Phoenix Suns and Thompson having moved to the Dallas Mavericks this off-season, the dynamics within the Western Conference have shifted significantly from those dominant Warrior years. Presently, Harden’s Clippers are positioned sixth in the Western Conference with a 31-23 record.

Harden continues his quest for his first NBA championship title, hoping to secure it this season with the Clippers.
