The Golden State Warriors made their way to play against the Washington Wizards this past Monday evening. It was a notable game as it marked a momentous occasion for Jordan Poole, who faced his previous teammates, including the standout Draymond Green.

Both Poole and Green were in fine form during the match. Poole, now a Wizards’ guard, managed to score 14 points in the opening half, which included a significant three-pointer over Green towards the close of the second quarter. After the shot, Poole noticeably celebrated as Stephen Curry prepared for the next play, eventually passing the ball to Green who then set Curry up for a spectacular buzzer-beater just past Poole.

As the teams headed off for the half-time break, Green notably gestured towards Poole, a moment that captured the intensity of the game.

The entire sequence of events, including replays, is available for viewing online.

Poole, who spent his first four NBA seasons with the Golden State Warriors, joined the Wizards following a trade in the 2023 offseason. It’s worth noting that during the 2022-2023 season, an altercation occurred where Poole allegedly provoked Green by calling him an “expensive backpack” for Curry, leading to Green physically striking Poole.

Despite their past, it seems all parties have moved beyond the incident.
