As the final seconds ticked down last weekend, Draymond Green completed a layup that stretched the Golden State Warriors’ lead to 94-88 against the New York Knicks. Following the shot, Green mimicked the iconic "night night" gesture made popular by his teammate Steph Curry.

However, Green’s rendition of the "night night" gesture hasn’t always been as polished as Curry’s. In an earlier season game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Curry himself offered Green some pointers on perfecting the celebration.

During an episode of The Draymond Green Show, Green shared his thoughts on the gesture. "Everything I do, I do aggressively," he stated. He recalled the first time he attempted the "night night" celebration, which was particularly vigorous. "The first time I did the ‘night night,’ after the play against Rudy Gobert, it was very aggressive. Steph did give me notes after that. I think my hands were a bit too high initially, and I’ve learned to lower the head a bit more," Green explained.

On Twitter, The Draymond Green Show highlighted Green’s recollection of the feedback, humorously noting the aggressive nature of his initial attempts and mentioning that former NBA player Baron Davis also chimed in, joking about turning the "Night Night" into a "Nightmare."

When Green showcased the "night night" celebration once again during the game against the Knicks, Curry noticed the improvement, giving it a commendable A-. "He’s evolved his version of it since the game earlier in the year against Minnesota," Curry commented last weekend. "He’s softened it a bit, bringing it down to where it should be, like resting on a pillow. I realized he does everything with great intensity and his whole body, so I’m giving that an A- for tonight. It was beautiful."

Despite Curry’s approval, not everyone on the team felt the same way. Moses Moody humorously dubbed Green’s version as the "nightmare."

Green shared a light-hearted moment from the locker room following the game. "Then I walk in the locker room after all this plays out," Green said. "Moses and [Kevon Looney] over there like ‘Man, Draymond ain’t doing the ‘night night,’ he’s doing the ‘nightmare.’ I started crying laughing. Then Moses came out and said it publicly, and there it is."
