Stephen Curry agreed to a one-year contract extension worth $62.6 million with the Golden State Warriors this Thursday, which is expected to push his total NBA earnings over the $500 million mark.

With this deal, Curry joins an exclusive group of NBA players, becoming only the third to surpass half a billion dollars in career earnings. The other two members of this elite club are his fellow Team USA players, LeBron James and Kevin Durant.

According to ESPN’s Bobby Marks, the new extension brings Curry’s anticipated career earnings to a staggering $536 million, making him the second all-time highest earner in NBA history, just behind LeBron James.

LeBron James recently set the record by becoming the first NBA player to exceed $500 million in career earnings, following his two-year maximum contract extension with the Los Angeles Lakers in July. This deal, worth $104 million, will elevate his total earnings to approximately $583.3 million.

Kevin Durant is also set to reach $504 million in career earnings upon completion of his two-year extension with the Phoenix Suns.

Being in such illustrious company highlights the extraordinary talent and market appeal of these players, who are often regarded as among the top NBA players currently active.
