While Cam Spencer of the Memphis Grizzlies and Pat Spencer of the Golden State Warriors are siblings, their journeys to the NBA could not have been more different.

Cam dedicated five years to college basketball at institutions including Loyola-Maryland, Rutgers, and Connecticut, clinching a national championship in 2024. Conversely, Pat spent just one year playing college basketball at Northwestern in 2020, but he excelled in lacrosse for four years with the Greyhounds.

Their paths intersected for the first time in an NBA game on Saturday. When Pat was brought on for the Warriors, Cam was assigned by the Grizzlies to mark him.

Both brothers managed to log more than ten minutes of playtime during the game—a notable achievement given that Cam was selected in the second round of the draft while Pat entered the NBA undrafted.

This season, Cam is averaging 3.8 points in 12.3 minutes per game for the Grizzlies, who are currently second in the Western Conference standings. In contrast, Pat is averaging 1.3 points and 1.5 assists in 5.2 minutes per game for the Warriors, who are in ninth place in the same conference.
