Los Angeles Lakers standout Luka Doncic battled a stomach virus on the day of the Game 3 defeat against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Despite not being fully recovered, Doncic participated in the game and managed to contribute 17 points, eight assists, and seven rebounds in a 116-104 loss.

Looking ahead to a crucial Game 4 on Sunday, reports suggest Doncic’s condition has improved considerably, as noted by ESPN’s Shams Charania.

“Luka Doncic has had sufficient rest and is feeling much better,” Charania mentioned on NBA Countdown on Sunday. “Apart from attending a team meeting and receiving individual treatment, I understand that Luka spent the entirety of Saturday resting at home, something he couldn’t manage on Thursday and Friday due to the viral illness.”

Lakers coach J.J. Redick confirmed to the press before the game that Doncic is “feeling better,” aligning with Charania’s updates.

A revitalized Doncic is certainly good news for the Lakers as they aim to balance the series at two games each this Sunday afternoon.

The game is scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on ABC.
