Beastars, a Japanese animated show, has been available for streaming since 2019. The series, featuring anthropomorphic animals, is based on the popular manga of the same name that was published from 2016 to 2020. Produced by Japan’s Studio Orange and directed by Shinichi Matsumi (known for Porco Rosso and Pom Poko), this series spans three seasons.
The first two seasons have been airing on the streaming giant Netflix since 2019 and 2021, respectively, while the first part of the third season has been available since December 5, 2024. After 24 critically acclaimed episodes and a three-year wait, Netflix subscribers can finally watch the third installment of Legoshi, Haru, and Jack’s adventures, exploring new plots and characters created by Nanami Higuchi. The final part will air sometime in 2025.

At Cherryton Academy, like everywhere else, students are split into two groups: carnivores and herbivores. Legoshi, a shy and reserved wolf, lives amongst other carnivores. However, predators and their usual prey share classrooms and manage to coexist peacefully. This fragile harmony is shattered the day Tem, an alpaca, is murdered. As trust among the students dwindles and the divide between carnivores and herbivores widens, Legoshi meets Haru, a small rabbit, who challenges everything.
