In a thrilling encounter at TD Garden, the Houston Rockets claimed a victory over the Boston Celtics this Monday night, thanks to a decisive basket by Amen Thompson just before the buzzer.

Thompson executed an impressive maneuver to get free from his defender, Jaylen Brown, and made a jump shot while fading away from just inside the free throw line, pushing Houston ahead 114–112 with barely a second left on the clock.

This shot marked the first game-winner of Thompson’s professional career, and he couldn’t hide his excitement in the post-game celebrations, comparing his performance to the legendary Kobe Bryant.

“That’s my first game-winner. I feel like Kobe,” Thompson remarked in his postgame interview, where he appeared alongside teammate Dillon Brooks, who expressed his confidence in Thompson’s shot making.

In what was his 15th start of the season for the Rockets, Thompson not only scored the game-winning basket but also set a new personal best with 33 points, along with grabbing 10 rebounds, and contributing four assists, one block, and a steal.

Thompson’s 13 successful field goals during the game were crucial, but none was as significant as his final shot that clinched the win.
