The Denver Nuggets may face Game 7 of their series against the Oklahoma City Thunder without pivotal player Aaron Gordon, who sustained a hamstring injury towards the end of Game 6.

NBA correspondent Shams Charania from ESPN expressed concerns on Friday that Gordon might not play in the decisive Game 7, following a diagnosis of a strain in his left hamstring. Gordon was forced to leave the court in the final moments of Game 6, which kept the Nuggets’ playoff hopes alive, after clutching his hamstring.

The injury occurred after Oklahoma City’s Chet Holmgren knocked the ball away from Gordon, leading to a scramble for the ball involving Alex Caruso. Gordon was seen limping away from the incident and was soon seen holding the back of his left leg before exiting the game shortly after. The entire incident can be viewed in the video below:

Gordon has been a standout performer this postseason for the Nuggets, notably securing two buzzer-beaters, including a dramatic three-pointer that clinched Game 1 for Denver following a remarkable comeback. In the first-round series against the Los Angeles Clippers, he made history with a buzzer-beating dunk, marking the first ever game-winning dunk at the buzzer in NBA playoffs history.

Throughout the playoffs, he has averaged 16.8 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, with a three-point shooting percentage of 38.2%. Tony Jones of The Athletic reported that Gordon is listed as questionable for the upcoming Game 7, which is scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m. ET Sunday in Oklahoma City.
