During a recent game against the Dallas Mavericks, Wendell Carter Jr., a player for the Orlando Magic, sustained an injury to his left plantar fascia. The incident occurred while Carter was attempting to intercept a lob pass and it quickly became evident that he was in distress.

After the injury, Carter Jr. was visibly struggling to walk and was met by his teammate Jalen Suggs, who supported him as they walked back to the team bench. Suggs provided comfort to Carter, who was clearly upset by the situation.

Throughout his seven-year NBA career, Carter Jr. has dealt with numerous injuries. Drafted seventh overall by the Chicago Bulls in the 2018 NBA Draft, he has managed to play no more than 62 games in any regular season. Despite these challenges, he has been a significant asset for the Magic, particularly as they rise within the Eastern Conference standings.

Just a couple of seasons ago, Carter was averaging 15 points and 10 rebounds per game. With Paolo Banchero sidelined for a lengthy period, the Magic were likely counting on Carter’s contributions. This sentiment is probably mirrored by the Orlando fans, who are undoubtedly feeling the impact of his absence.

Hopefully, Jalen Suggs can extend his comforting presence to the fans as well.
