Sandman Finale Release Date on Netflix: Find Out When!

Fans of Sandman received both good and bad news. Let’s start with the bad news: the series was cancelled due to sexual assault allegations against Neil Gaiman that emerged early in the year 2025. The good news is that the storyline will wrap up with the conclusion of season 2.

The first half of Sandman‘s second season premiered on Netflix on Thursday, July 3, 2025. The second batch of episodes (episodes 7 to 11) was released on July 24. However, there’s still one final episode, the 12th, which will be unveiled on July 31. This episode will definitively conclude the series.

The new episodes will delve into the impending conflict between Morpheus and Lucifer, which was hinted at in the last episode. As a reminder, The Sandman is an adaptation of the graphic novel series by Neil Gaiman (Coraline, American Gods, Good Omens), and is restricted to those over 18 due to its dark narrative, portraying the journey of the sandman.
