Ex-NBA player Eric Bledsoe was taken into custody this Wednesday following an incident where he reportedly struck a woman on the face, as per information from TMZ, which referenced the California highway patrol.

The arrest occurred around 2:30 a.m. local time after officers from the California State Highway Patrol responded to a domestic violence call on a freeway just outside Los Angeles.

Officers detained Bledsoe at a gas station near US-101 in California. He was found with a woman who exhibited signs of physical assault, including “bruising and swelling” on her face, and she claimed Bledsoe was responsible for her injuries. Bledsoe was taken into custody after he declined to give a statement to the police about the event.

Throughout his 12-season NBA career, Bledsoe maintained averages of 13.7 points, 4.7 assists, and 3.9 rebounds per game with a shooting accuracy of 45.2%.
