This Friday marks the beginning of the NBA All-Star weekend with the eagerly anticipated Celebrity Game aired on ESPN. While the spotlight later shifts to TNT for the Rising Stars Challenge featuring top rookies and sophomores, earlier attendees enjoy a unique game steered by legendary figures Jerry Rice and Barry Bonds.

No matter the fame level of those participating, each celebrity is eager to showcase their basketball skills.

Among the stars on the court was AP Dhillon, a multifaceted artist known for his rapping, singing, and record producing. During the game, Dhillon managed to score several points. In a lively second-quarter interview with broadcasters Mark Jones and Richard Jefferson, he shared his enthusiasm for demonstrating his basketball abilities, admitting he might have gotten a bit too enthusiastic.

“Does this guy even know how to dribble,” Dhillon joked. “Is he gonna double-dribble? So I’m here to show like yeah, f———oh, my bad.”

The audience and commentators found Dhillon’s candid moment amusing, with Richard Jefferson noting that Shaquille O’Neal had even sent a text advising him not to apologize. This came after Shaq himself had used not-safe-for-work language during TNT’s NBA coverage the previous night, shortly before his major new contract with the network was publicized.

Clearly, not apologizing was the right choice in this instance.
