This perspective was on full display on Saturday when a game-time clash occurred between the Celtics and the Atlanta Hawks during their matchup, which Atlanta clinched 119–115 in overtime.

The competition continued even after the whistle, leading to a break-up by the referees. Amidst this, Mazzulla was seen enthusiastically clapping.
In a scene that brought some humor to the tension, Mazzulla walked right up to the center of the action, continuing his applause in front of Hawks’ guard Trae Young.
