Netflix viewers have a penchant for Italian series like Lidia Rules, Baby, and Tormented Love. This time, there’s no romance or historical narrative, but rather Public Disorder, a show similar to the legendary Gomorra, following a team of riot police. Directed by Michele Alhaique (Bye Bye Baby, Romulus), the series is adapted from Carlo Bonini’s novel ACAB.
Previously made into a film by Stefano Sollima in 2012, this dark novel based on real events caused a stir for its critical portrayal of police brutality. Meanwhile, the series Public Disorder has been available on Netflix for streaming since January 15, 2025.
