@  phaketrash : (05 March 2013 - 03:04 PM) I agree, though for different reasons, watching HOU vs. SA or OKC would be intense! haha
@  Alituro : (05 March 2013 - 02:26 PM) The key is to actually land the 6th seed first.. Clippers & the Grizz give us our best chance in the first round.. We don't stand a chance against Spurs and Thunder, unless of course Parker doesn't make it back
@  timetodienow... : (05 March 2013 - 02:02 PM) I'd much rather play the Griz. Their defense is tough, but with DMo keeping ZBo away from the rim, it's not going to be as stingy.
@  2016Champions : (05 March 2013 - 04:40 AM) Or we might play the Clippers but the Grizz have a tougher schedule coming up. Clippers seem to play pretty well against the Rockets :(
@  2016Champions : (05 March 2013 - 04:27 AM) I'm pretty confident we will get the 6th seed and play the Grizz who will end up with the 3rd seed. I don't think the Grizz can run with us so we might actually have a chance to get out the 1st round!
@  DrewinAbilene : (05 March 2013 - 04:02 AM) Glad to see the Jazz fall tonight. We're now holding down the seventh seed!
@  2016Champions : (04 March 2013 - 02:28 AM) True, his skills and fundamentals need some polishing up.
@  timetodienow... : (04 March 2013 - 02:28 AM) I'm out guys. I have a governmental accounting test tomorrow. The government likes to be complicated for some reason.
@  timetodienow... : (04 March 2013 - 02:26 AM) He is tall and long. But sometimes he forgets to box out and just tries to use his arms to get the board.
@  2016Champions : (04 March 2013 - 02:24 AM) He has shown good instincts at times when it comes to boxing out, and it doesn't hurt that he's 7 feet tall.
@  2016Champions : (04 March 2013 - 02:23 AM) I'm not that suprised, I think he can be a decent rebounder. Better than guys like Bosh and Dirk, although that's not saying much lol
@  timetodienow... : (04 March 2013 - 02:23 AM) I'm surprised that DMo's rebounded as well as he has tonight.
@  timetodienow... : (04 March 2013 - 02:21 AM) Maybe that was a bit strong.
@  2016Champions : (04 March 2013 - 02:20 AM) We do need a stopper, but I wouldn't call Harden a defensive liability.
@  timetodienow... : (04 March 2013 - 02:14 AM) Peace, thenit.
@  timetodienow... : (04 March 2013 - 02:12 AM) His defense isn't poor, but we need a good defensive wing because of Harden's liabilities.
@  timetodienow... : (04 March 2013 - 02:12 AM) What he needs to work on in the offseason is 1)Defense, 2)FT%, 3)Everything else is above average. He just needs to continue what he's been doing.
@  2016Champions : (04 March 2013 - 02:11 AM) peace.
@  thenit : (04 March 2013 - 02:10 AM) heading out , peace
@  thenit : (04 March 2013 - 02:10 AM) gg nice chatting with u guys

Is it just me or does Harden seem tired to you as well?

Harden seems to be less explosive than he was earlier in the year. There are two reasons, in my opinion. The first is the insane amount of minutes he's been playing. He's third in minutes at 38.5 per game. That's up from 31.4 last year. That's a decent sized jump. Secondly, he's also been playing on that ankle he rolled with little rest. We're going to need him to be in tip top shape come postseason time, so I'd wish he'd get a little more rest. Maybe I'm just worrying over nothing, but the last 3 games his percentage has been low and he's lacked that little extra burst of speed that would create contact with the defender to draw the foul .He's still playing like a superstar, but it's seemed like he's cooled down a bit. Am I overreacting, and this is just a him going through a rough patch, or is there something to it. Plus, he's got some knee trouble. Nothing too serious though. I wish he'd not log so many minutes.

Orl = 24 pts / 38.9%FG / 0-5 3 pointers / 42 min

MIL = 25 pts / 44.4%FG / 2-6 3 pointers / 38 min

WAS = 27 pts / 43.5%FG / 3-11 3 pointers / 42 min

Why so Serious? :D

    I think he is getting a little tired, but I believe its more to a mini slump in his shooting. Remember the losing streak, Harden was shooting below 250%, so this isnt bad, hopefully with a few days rest he be back to his norm.

      Can't think of another guy on any of the playoff teams carrying a bigger load than Harden.

      Me neither. I just don't want him to burn out.

      Hopefully the Rockets can blow some teams out during the easy stretch of games ahead of them, and Harden will be able to rest during the 4th quarter.

        Hardin is overrated. It's time to trade him for Drew Gooden just to get rid of the contract.

        In all seriousness, his number of minutes increase isn't that much compared to the number of games they crammed into that short season last year. They aren't going back to back to back this year. And he is carrying more than any other playoff contender, except Durant who has to carry all of the bricks Westbrook shoots.

          As people probably know I'm not the biggest Mchale fan, but even if blow teams out Harden is still on the floor until about 90 sec to go. Or when the rockets get blown out Harden plays until the last 90 as well, even tho we could be down by 25 in the 4th with 6 to go. So no matter what happens Harden won't get a lot of rest and we also need him to get into the playoffs, but I wish that Mchale would take out Harden in blowout wins/losses at least to save 3-5 minutes here and there.

          We had the Harden is played too much at the end of games debate not too long ago, maybe December or early January. If I remember correctly when the stats were posted Harden wasn't overplayed but I could be mistaken. If someone else doesn't bring back the old thread and update the stats I will do my best to do so by tomorrow. Of course I am of the opinion that what minutes young Harden plays is fine and is actually good for the teams success both short term and long term.

            No I'm not questioning his minutes, he needs to be on the floor as much as possible. The issue is when we have a big lead or down big with 4minutes to go and we are down for example 16 points. In a couple instances you will see Mchale surrender the white flag and sub in the bench but Harden would remain until its about a minute left. Given that 3 minutes isn't a lot, but it still something we can save him on when the game is lost, god forbid he drives and get hurts, then Mchale would get killed by that decision.

              BTW the average minutes are fine, Harden is fit and young, just want to sit him when the outcome is decided, we dont need to pad his stats they are already impressive

              Lin initiated a lot of the offense while he was in tonight.

              You can't complain about last night's game....he sat out the entire 4th quarter.
