@  timetodienow... : (02 March 2013 - 04:46 AM) Beverley played lights out tonight.
@  thenit : (02 March 2013 - 02:11 AM) Beverley taking over in the 4th
@  thejohnnygold : (02 March 2013 - 01:24 AM) How can somebody shoot threes but not free throws???  Lookin' at you D-Mo...
@  phaketrash : (28 February 2013 - 05:32 PM) It's weird that our record is so bad whenever we get the max days of rest haha.
@  timetodienow... : (28 February 2013 - 02:04 PM) Delfino*
@  timetodienow... : (28 February 2013 - 02:04 PM) Lin's defense isn't great, and it's funny that when he plays great defense, Ellis bails out Jennings with a circus 3 pointer from 30 feet. That's got to be disheartening. But DMo looked good. Coach Mchale needs to stop Dmo from trying to be a Joe Johnson type doing ISO plays and pulling up for a 28 point 3 pointer with 12 seconds on the clock. It's frustrating. It's basically a turnover.
@  DaDakota : (28 February 2013 - 01:27 PM) Rox need to play hardcagainst every team
@  ale11 : (28 February 2013 - 03:26 AM) UNBELIEVABLE!
@  phaketrash : (28 February 2013 - 03:25 AM) Well I'm a bit speechless now.....
@  Ostrow : (28 February 2013 - 02:04 AM) The reffing in this game has been... interesting...
@  phaketrash : (28 February 2013 - 01:52 AM) Whew. Just another Smith-like knee bump.
@  phaketrash : (28 February 2013 - 01:51 AM) :o Hope that Harden bump is not an injury.
@  thenit : (28 February 2013 - 01:39 AM) 12 assist in the 1st thats pretty good
@  thenit : (28 February 2013 - 01:37 AM) we did look good but the last 5 was poor.
@  Ostrow : (28 February 2013 - 01:33 AM) Look really good offensively, getting a lot of open looks.  The Bucks have hit 2 well contested 3s. Are taking more bad shots. Gotta stop turning the ball over.
@  bboley24 : (27 February 2013 - 11:57 PM) my bad.
@  bboley24 : (27 February 2013 - 11:56 PM) aaaaaaaaaaaand I just read the forum.
@  bboley24 : (27 February 2013 - 11:55 PM) I like this new gizmo!  Do you think we will eventually switch delfino with a big man on the starting lineup?
@  phaketrash : (27 February 2013 - 11:47 PM) Probably. Still hope he has a breakout game though haha. But yeah, shouldn't be disappointed if he as a mediocre one either.
@  LMAOwais : (27 February 2013 - 11:26 PM) we should probably temper our expectatio for D-Mo just a tad...

Cavs and Omri Casspi indeed engaged in buyout talks, I'm told, with deal to part ways possible before March 1 deadline (which is Friday)

Rockets are a legit & confirmed suitor for Omri Casspi, who is recovering from emergency surgery last weekend to take out his appendix

Playoff eligibility deadline officially 11:59 PM Friday night. So long as waivers requested by 11:59 ET, player is eligible for playoffs

Wow....not that exciting....maybe if he'd play for free....probably not even then....the guy can't get on the court with Alonzo Gee, C.J. Miles, and Luke Walton ahead of him.  Are we that desperate?  Juwan Howard is available.....I think this is just speculation.

Yeah this makes no sense, he's not a very good player. It's his 4th year in the league and he hasn't improved at all.

If Casspi is seen by Morey and the Rockets as an upgrade over Tyler Honeycutt, why not pick him up? Although time is running short and the clock will likely run out beforehand anyway.

Morey just wants to have the most ethnically diverse roster in professional sports history.

          Morey regrets trading him.

First, 2016champs, welcome to the red94 forums!

Second, your avatar lends a certain amount of credibility to you for obvious reasons. Every time I see you post, a part of me thinks for half a second that it is actually Morey posting, and thus the comment is probably both insightful and accurate haha. Like speaking with a British accent.

Ha, I thought the same thing....the Rockets are single-handedly destroying all NBA stereotypes.

And agree with Phaketrash....I saw 2016's avatar and thought, "Sweet!  Morey's joined the group!"

Casspi's lack of improvement could be atributed to the same thing as Robinson's: toxic environment in Sacramento, and surely, getting traded from there to Cleveland isn't really an upgrade. NBA scouts aren't stupid (I think), they are qualified people, so....the kid must have something worthy, but not every player in the NBA can play in any system or under any coach.

Personally, I don't like him, but I didn't like Delfino either and he proved me wrong by fitting nicely into our game plan.

            In Morey I trust too....

You can't really compare a lack of impovement within 51 games to lack of improvement within 4 years... one is much, MUCH worse than the other. Remember how the Lakers thought they could salvage Kwame Brown's potential after 4 years with teh Wizards? All I can say is, if Omri gets signed, don't get your hopes up.

I know, but Morey deals with numbers we don't know and lately, he has made nothing but good decisions, so....it has to be a good reason to even consider it, there's something we might not be seeing.

I'm not sure Kwame Brown is a fair comparison....was Omri verbally abused and degraded by Michael Jordan as well?

Kwame Brown couldn't catch. He has worse hands then Asik. And it's not even close. The Lakers just didn't do their homework and didn't realize you can't teach someone the hand/eye coordination needed to catch a basketball pass.

Plus all this is an overreaction anyway. Who will the Rockets cut to sign Casspi? Everyone on the team as a contract through the end of this year, and no one is a buyout candidate.
