Ugh you wouldn't want me to submit questions. I'd lawyer it up so hard that it'll end up being paragraphs per question lol.
As long as I can cut and paste it's all the same to me ...
This one was mostly a test run to see if anyone would do it, if it could be fun and informative, and if it would trigger fun debate.....I found myself struggling to create questions after 2 or 3.
Maybe we find a way to collect questions and post relevant surveys from time to time....
I use surveymonkey...it's free and easy so if anyone else wants to crank one out go for it.
So far, the answers are amusing....will wait for a few more takers before posting results

But the bid goes through the league, each team has a chance to take him at his cap number as long as they are under the luxury tax (I think). But only have to pay the amount they bid with the lakers picking up the rest of the tab. That's what Phoenix did with Scola.
I think it is just their normal cap. So teams that are already over the cap can't bid for him EXCEPT by using their MLE (or waiving players -- cannot be done through moving players via trade, though that's not an option this season anymore anyways). There are only a handful of teams with the cap space to beat a bid by Houston, who can just bid above the MLE +$1 or something. Comes down to how we bid against those few teams.
PHX took Scola with a bid that would leave them below their salary cap, I believe. Their BID has to be below their salary cap, not the player's whole K of course. So those over the cap can only bid the MLE number of $5M or therearounds. ex: if Team A is over their team salary cap for the season, they can bid the MLE ($5M) for Pau, but HOU can obviously bid more. So if we put in a $6M bid, only teams that have more cap space (like ATL) can submit a bid greater than ours. We are thus only competing against a handful of teams, a number of which may have zero interest in Pau (or less interest in him than we do). If we win with a $6M bid we pay $6M while LAL eats up the other $13M of Pau's contract, though it clears their salary cap books.

I filled out my survey as well. Some questions would probably work better if you ranked the choices 1-5 instead of allowing just 1 pick. For instance, who would I prefer as the PF next season. Then give each choice a point value such that choice 1 = 5 points, choice 2 = 4 points, etc. then in the end the winning choice (in terms of the survey) would be the one with the highest point value.
