Perhaps I am out of bounds, just wondering what happened to excellent discussion over the past 2-3 years here?
The D12 disaster that cost McHale his job shortly after winning NBA Coach of the Year.
Which actually resulted in today's Rockets roster, just for starters.........
Harden, wow, it was like 50-50 (maybe I'm being overly pleasant) in regards to Haters and those who believed in Harden not that long ago here at Red94 before all the discussions came to a screeching halt. And by the way, who is no doubt in my mind the 2017-2018 MVP. While still finding ways to amaze us and discovering ways to make all of us (at least those of us that are actually NBA fans) shake their heads in wonder.
The hiring of Coach D'Antoni...... Don't even get me started on that subject. There were significant contributors who laughed at that hire while calling for Morey to be fired and for a more disciplined approach with someone like a Tom Thibadeau. Who I personally believe is an outstanding coach and person. Just not, in my opinion, the right fit for this Rockets team. Can anyone even imagine this Rockets team, who won a franchise high 65 games during the 2017-18 regular season, with Thibadeau at the helm rather than D'Antoni and no doubt a much different playoff roster??
And please don't even get me started on the scattered discussion last summer regarding the CP3 trade.....
A timely discussion would be why did OKC even let Harden and Durant leave? OKC has the anchor of like a $28 million opt in for Carmelo next season. Yikes, so they are way above luxury tax if they can somehow convince Paul George to stay in OKC and not jet out to LaLa land next season. While just a few short seasons ago trying to nit and pick a few measly dollars on Harden's extension that resulted in Harden fortunately (in my opinion) being traded to Houston
Anyway, just so sad that interesting discussions on this site are just a fading memory...........
Go Rockets!!
