A nice long homestand with 3/5 of the teams in tank mode should provide some nice rest for our starting group. Hopefully Ariza and Anderson can find their groove in the mean time as well.

Last night's rebound fest against the Cavs doesn't seem like an aberration but part of a trend. Comparison of rebound diff to last year certainly supports it - Rockets went from +0.3 diff (ranked 14th) last year to +3.7 diff (ranked 6th) this year.

 

The improvement is on the defensive end - from .758 last year to .830 this year (best in the league), while offensive rebounds regressed from .246 to .219.

 

Nice trend.

There is a lot to like about this year's team.  It looks like defense is actually happening...something I have been waiting years to see.  As of now, I think this is the best Rockets squad after the '94-'95 championship team with Clyde and Dream.  If they manage to topple the West and take the title I may just have to move them up to that top spot.  It pains me a little to say it, but I think it would be true.

 

The worst part about this season so far is that I have only been able to catch a few games  :( I need to fix my schedule
