Sort of a trivial topic, but I am a long time advocate for a new uniform for the Rockets. Our "Sunday/holiday" units (the mustard/ketchup joints) are mediocre at best. Am I the only one who feels it's time for a change? With the new identity we are now cultivating, would an image upgrade help streamline the process? I am pretty keen on the proposed units shown below:

If I'm not mistaken, you can present your game ticket there from a game we won and you get some sort of free food.

I'm 100% with you, with Lin gone and Yao long gone, it's time to dump the Asian theme.. Also, Mustard on all versions should be mandatory. The Mustard is so tacky, gaudy, and obnoxious... IT'S PERFECT!

While I agree that we need a change in the unis, I'm not sure that those you shown us are the answer. They look too simplistic to me. But I do like the ketchup and mustard ones that we are currently using, so maybe I'm contradicting myself. We would never have a white jersey for the road, that would be our home jersey.

I'm really in to teams like the Celtics and the Lakers that haven't done much to their uni since their inception. They have a certain aesthetic that withstands the test of time to me. I guess what I liked about the options I posted (while more of a suggestion than a final answer) is that both call to our glory days but with modern touches as well.

This unit has grown on me given the recent announcement of teams with rings displaying their championships on their jerseys next season. Again, calls to our glory days but with a modern touch.

Bumping this up due to recent findings. We will be slightly modifying our jerseys for next season

but we are going to unveil an all new road alternate for next season (the mustard ketchup colorway). Intrigued to see how this is handled. The xmas uni's have also been leaked:

It is also widely speculated that there will be major changes to many teams' units once the Adidas contract runs out and UA or NIke starts producing the jerseys. More important things to talk about right now, I realize, but just something interesting I ran across.

• "The Rockets will unveil new home and road alternate uniforms and a new 'Pride' throwback-inspired uniform at an event for partner and season-ticket holders at the House of Blues. They are not scheduled to wear the new road alternate uniform until the 2016-17 season. They will also wear a special uniform for the Christmas game against the San Antonio Spurs and will have a lunar New Year uniform unchanged from last season’s other than it no longer having sleeves. Those uniforms will not be unveiled at Tuesday’s event. The 'Pride' uniform replaces the ketchup and mustard uniform the team wore often in recent seasons, especially in the post-season, but will also use the colors from the franchise’s championship seasons."

I like the shorts on the Christmas jerseys. Not a fan of the cursive R, and I think non-italicized numbers would also look better. 

 

I think it's strange that they went v-neck on some of them, round on others, etc. 

 

I like the Project 34 jerseys posted above, but while the two stars I assume represent the two championships, not sure I'm a fan of where they placed them. Not sure where else we would've put them.

The stars do, in fact, represent championships won. This was "borrowed" from soccer clubs, as they place a star above their crest for each championship won and a gold crest if you are the reigning world cup champion. As basketball jerseys veer more and more towards a soccer style/advertising friendly uni, the stars and their placement should improve. I personally like how they are represented now with a small gold tab on the back of the jersey.

I have to agree. Wearing something that says CLUTCH CITY scares me. Maybe I am being to superstitious. The sleeve design is terrible the players actually look uncomfortable.

I actually kind of like the black ones. The gray one has grown on me a little bit as well. I like last years ketchup and mustard alternative more than the new clutch city one, but again I don't think it is terrible. It's just the sleeves that aren't appealing, but I understand why the league is shifting that way.
