I seriously cannot believe Bosh is not coming to Houston! First Carmelo snubs us and then Bosh. Well, ok, Carmelo was obviously never coming to Houston. Can you imagine Carmelo fighting Harden for the ball? "Give it to me, you a--hole!" "No, you give it to me!" So of course even though it was Plan A, everyone knew Carmelo was going to sheet all over us. But Bosh? I mean he's barely a max level player to begin with let's face it. He's like a poor man's max level player. He was an epic non-factor in the playoffs. He said the entire season was such a grind. Poor guy! What he can't get motivated with King James breathing down his neck? He doesn't think "Team First" Harden will get him off his lazy ass? He's crazy! Why is everyone turning down the Rockets? It makes no sense. It's like Morey has an infectious disease. Seriously, the Rockets have an excellent player's coach and a clear path to an NBA championship. McHale takes a lot of heat, but he's probably one of the top 3 coaches in the NBA! All the players love him. They say McHale was out-coached in the Portland series, which is total buffalo manure. The only reason we lost to Portland was because Jeremy Lin turned over the frickin ball in Game 4. No turnover, we win Game 4 and we probably win the series. We probably also beat the Spurs because we held over them in the regular season. But thanks to Lin, we lose again! But now that Lin is gone, we have a clean path to the NBA championships and so it is so damn perplexing that Bosh would not see this and instead give us the one finger salute! So what that Riley gave him a monster contract? I mean who needs money when you're already filthy rich? You would think that just the chance to play with a Super Star teammate like D. Howard who is in his prime and is only getting better would be worth $30m or more. Who wouldn't want a chance to play with D.Ho just once in his career? This is probably all a conspiracy against Morey who is clearly a BB genius. He has accomplished so much in so little time it is ridiculous. I know what you're thinking...letting Goran and Kyle go looks a little stewpid right now, but hindsight is 20-20. It was the right move at the time! So shut the "F" up you MM Quarterbacks! Morey's made so many stellar moves, everyone in the league is ganging up on him because they're afraid of his superior basketball acumen. Let me tell you there's not a single person on the planet who could have forseen (1) Lebron going to Cleveland, (2) Miami offering Bosh a max contract, (3) Bosh taking it. It seemed fairly predictable that if LBJ bailed, Riley would have just thrown in the towel and let CB walk. That damn Riley and his unforeseeable max contract screwed us big time! (Of course, we'd still be just as forked if LBJ stayed in Miami like everyone thought.) But not even Nostradamus with a super-sized crystal ball could have seen this scenario coming. Who knew there was just no scenario where Bosh moves to Houston?!? I mean, who could even imagine that Bosh would play us like a used fiddle to get Riley to rain money all over him? This kind of underhanded crap just does not happen! So all you Morey haters, get a frickin clue! Alas, don't be sad Rockets faithful, remember it's always the darkest before the dawn of an NBA Championship! Just remember we still have our fearless leader Captain McHale leading us and Dr. Morey, Ph.D. in Basketballology keeping us 2 steps ahead of the pack! And that alone puts us in contention next year!

Cheer up Rahat, hope all will be fine.
For now we lost our sixth man and a first rounder, SF Chandler situation is in limbo, and not a lot of good options are out there.
You knew Morey and he is a gambler. Sometime hit a jackpot, sometime got hosed. That is what you have to expect from a gambler.
But I hope eventually, all will be even out and fine.

jimmypage, I don't agree with everything you said, but I loved reading it!
You managed to use the word "stewpid" without offending me....well done!

Why do people not want to come to HOU? Because management treats its players like cogs in a machine. Because they disrespect their own players. Because they marginalize players- not playing to their strengths, allowing superstars to get away with playing selfishly. I used to be a HOU fan back in the Yao days. But these two years of watching them treating Jeremy Lin like crap (signing him, then replacing him with James Harden who is not a leader, not someone anyone would follow or go to war with, then insulting/disrespecting him repeatedly over the next couple of years) I have come to detest this organization. I think that this is a great website, and I have enjoyed reading the data driven posts and interesting commentary. But I have to say, there was a certain degree of glee that I saw today's events transpire. Let's see how the Rockets do next year with Harden/Howard/Beverly. I suspect that they will miss Asik's defense and Lin's character and leadership. And I think that there will be a lot of haters here who will see Lin blossom when he is not constantly undercut by his coach and the ball-hogging style of play of his teammates. I do realize that some crazy die-hard LOF's have given Lin fans a bad name and I hope that they can keep quiet on the Lakers forums. The guy needs to get a shot of confidence and the killer instinct- when he has a coach who can push him like that, he will blossom into a solid NBA guard, maybe even an all-star level player.

Boy, what an awful, umpleasant post. As a lifelong Laker fan, I am not looking forward to reading posts from "fans" that take joy in the team's misfortune because they feel Lin was mistreated (although he was handed the starting PG position, and played more minutes than Tony Parker over two years). He was given every opportunity I can imagine in Houston, and he will have a similar opportunity in LA, at least for one year (there's no one else). I'll tell you, though, unless he learns to shoot more consistently, he'll be gone in 2016.

I would just like to point out that the "glee" you noticed here was not because Lin is leaving (save for maybe one or two people). No, the joy was knowing that sooner than later his fans would be leaving. I won't lie, it does fill me with glee.
A short story, in picture form:

Red94 During Jeremy Lin
Red94 After Jeremy Lin

Good luck with the Lin fans Lakerfan, as you can clearly see by this thread they are usually devoid of basketball knowledge and just repeat what they hear in their echo chambers. They are total trollers and wastes of space, most of them are idiots and tied to a lost cause. They are pathetic at least that's what their posts usually reveal.
Wow, and with the "staff" icon next to it, too. But, of course, thejohnnygold will come back like "we're such a mature community. We don't attack each other, bla bla." Look, it's not Lin's fault, or his fans' fault, that the Rockets screwed up the summer.
I wasn't a particular fan of Lin, but seeing posts like this really kind of drives people with brains to argue against you. You idiots created more LOF just by being so contrary.

We are pretty friendly around here compared to say Clutchfans. A sizable percentage of real Rocket fans are looking forward to Lin's fans leaving. Lin is a cool guy and I wish him the best but his fans are not basketball fans nor do they generally understand NBA basketball, though some do, many are just quite pathetic.
I have never been to a Lin site to instigate his fans, I can't say the same for some of the trash that comes here just to troll with no hint of intentions to have a good basketball conversation.

I'm a fan of Lin. I'm a fan of Lebron. I'm a fan of Blake Griffin. I'm a fan of Kobe. I'm a fan of Greg Smith.
Sometimes I like a player's game. Sometimes his story. Sometimes I like him simply because of how much hate he gets. But I was the kid in high school who stuck up for the weird kid, not the insecure asshole who was bullying him.
It's kind of difficult to stop being a bully, eh? But what happens when there's no more classroom? I guess the idea is to find yourself some small insignificant position of power and dictate how the conversation goes. Buddy up with others like you and attack people that are different. But, of course, they're the "pathetic" ones, eh? The "idiots." "Wastes of space." Hilarious.

Wait, are you saying you were not a Lin fan, but became one due to the negative criticism he received here? So, it's like the superhero that inadvertently creates his own arch-nemesis? Red94 vs. QNoir....not bad.
That is an interesting "chicken or the egg" perspective. I tend to believe it went the other way, but I can see your point. Either way, good for you....you stood up for yourself. This isn't going anywhere positive. You don't seem to like nor respect us. Lin doesn't need any white-knighting services here any more. Maybe it's time to move on....

So judging from this post, I would have to say that the Lin Only Haters are far more in force polluting the air with venomous personal attacks than the Lin Only fans, who actually have been quite rational. It seems rather ironic that Lin only haters complain about how horrible it is that people with brains do not agree with them.

Great OK, you win. I have no brains. Whatever, the Lin fans have triumphed and you have figured out us brainless Rocket fans. Now if you're a Lin fan why don't you head over to forum blue and gold, a Lakers blog, tell Darius hello. You Lin fans can team up with Laker fans who I am sure are much smarter than us Rocket fans, yup.
This is going to be great.

Call it pent up aggression. And no one is a Lin only hater. Just realists who see him as the below average PG his numbers suggest. So judging from this post, I would have to say that the Lin Only Haters are far more in force polluting the air with venomous personal attacks than the Lin Only fans, who actually have been quite rational.
