Wanted to get everyone's thoughts on this: http://espn.go.com/n...ayer-rankings-7
ESPN has been doing their NBARank again this summer. While the methodology is rather controversial, to say the least, I am a part of the panel, so we'll leave it at that.
According to the panel, the Rockets have two top-10 players heading into the season. Dwight Howard at #7 and James Harden somewhere in the top 5.
Other notables:
-Kobe at 25
-Carmelo at 15
-Marc Gasol at 10
-LaMarcus Aldridge at 17
-Kevin Love at 11
-Steph Curry at 6
I am fine with Kobe and Carmelo where they are, but those have drawn the furor of the masses.
Top-5 is way too high for Harden. I think Dwight should be top-5 instead, but its understandable why he is so low after last season.
#6 is way too high for Steph Curry.
If the Rockets manage to trade for Aldridge, they will have 3 top 20 players.
Also, it looks like by the opinion of our panel, the Thunder held under their control 3 budding top-5 players in Harden, Westbrook, and Durant. Ouch.
