@  RollingWave : (05 May 2013 - 09:37 AM) Irving still need to work on a few things (most notably defense), his performance considering his age is great.
@  Dan G : (04 May 2013 - 06:50 AM) Damn..who knew tonight was gonna be close out the series night? Four Games 6s and four closeouts.
@  feelingsuper... : (04 May 2013 - 06:28 AM) Whatever comes the next few seasons (barring injuries) it will be hard to match the unadulterated excitement we had watching these young Rockets this past year, it was definitely some kind of roller coaster ride...
@  thenit : (04 May 2013 - 04:36 AM) Irving will be nasty good when LBJ will return to Cleveland as the lost son
@  thenit : (04 May 2013 - 04:36 AM) good night everyone, have a great summer and I won't be posting until july 1st. Still a proud rocket
@  LMAOwais : (04 May 2013 - 04:35 AM) i really do hate the prospect of mulling over every little piece of FA news this summer, but life of  fan I guess.
@  2016Champions : (04 May 2013 - 04:35 AM) Watch out for Irving though, that kid is shockingly good for someone who just turned 21. I wonder who will be the better player in 2 years.
@  thenit : (04 May 2013 - 04:34 AM) so small margins
@  thenit : (04 May 2013 - 04:34 AM) Overall a good season though didn't expect to get this far, but its always hard when you get your hopes up, imagine if that ball KD shot in game 3 didn't fall
@  2016Champions : (04 May 2013 - 04:33 AM) Yeah in 2 years Harden is top 10 for sure, hopefully top 5.
@  thenit : (04 May 2013 - 04:33 AM) I wish we could fastforward to july 2nd and know what happened during Free agency
@  thenit : (04 May 2013 - 04:32 AM) those 10 I named I take over Harden TODAY, but in 2 Years, LBJ and KD are the only 2 I would pick over, maybe Westbrook and George
@  2016Champions : (04 May 2013 - 04:30 AM) I can't name 10 player I would take over Harden, but I can name 10 players who played better in the first round.
@  thenit : (04 May 2013 - 04:30 AM) but if you say if I take them over Harden in 2 years its KD, LBJ for sure, the rest probably not
@  pharmag : (04 May 2013 - 04:29 AM) True nit, but again fixable.  With an offseason to play together, we should see a pretty big improvement.  I think even with the current roster and an offseason, this team can challenge for top 4 seed
@  thenit : (04 May 2013 - 04:29 AM) some of them are valued about the same as harden or less, but their overall package with D and attitude puts them over the top
@  thenit : (04 May 2013 - 04:29 AM) KD, Westbrook, Parker, Duncan, LBJ, Wade, Curry, D12, Melo, Paul George,
@  thenit : (04 May 2013 - 04:27 AM) Pharm: yea but thats the same on Offense, if he doesn't have the ball he just stands 5 feet behind the arc
@  PKM : (04 May 2013 - 04:27 AM) Name 10 players you would take over Harden right now.
@  thenit : (04 May 2013 - 04:27 AM) PKM: I agree there, but he stole the ball twice from Harden that led to 5 easy points

Anyone else enjoying Kevin Martin this series?

I esp. love how he disappears late in games.

I remember the days when I thought Martin had a horrible game but when you look at the box score, he would have 16 points, 4 assists, 4 rebounds.

You start thinking," I guess he didn't have a bad game"

He never leaves an imprint on the game and I am throughly enjoying every OKC fan that thought," Yeah, we could do this, without Harden, look at his stats."

Lets wait until after game 7 for this talk. (I agree, but no early celebrations.)

Ever since referees started giving K-Mart a blind eye to his driving and trying to draw a foul, he just hasn't been the same player. He can't finish at the rim nearly as well as he did early in his career and since he is not getting any foul calls, he is just a three point specialist now and tonight he didn't even do that.

Oh yeah but make no mistake him missing wide open threes is the exception not the rule, so we kindof lucked out tonight.

I am not celebrating, OKC can still win this series easily. Durant can go for 60 in Houston.

I  am just enjoying Kevin Martin for who he is.

I enjoy the X-Kings player on the Rockets roster more than the one that already left...

Will it be fair to say Houston won the Garcia-Patterson trade regardless of t-Rob?

Yeah, Garcia has made himself look indispensable this series.  He's worth every penny of that $6.4M and it will be a shame if we can't retain him.

I think the standard to determine trade winners is this:  Would the other team trade back what we gave up, plus some, to trade back?

Yeah, we took that deal, in a very surprising way.  Really appreciating Garcia and his professionalism right now.  I think we resign him if we can.  Will he resign with us, though?  I'm sure everyone is taking note of his play away from Sacramento.  Long line of suitors, I'm sure.

I agree.  It is unlikely we keep him.  Unless.......Millsap at $10-12M and Garcia has a team option for his $6.4M.....that just leaves us short at back-up center.  Hopefully Smith and Ohlbrecht could grow into that a little better over the Summer.

Yea we have been lucky with Martin missing open threes, but okc is also missing Westbrook who sets up a lot of the shoots for everyone with his drive and kick. Right now kd has to work so hard for a shot or pass

Not sure I'm necessarily enjoying K-Mart missing all these shots (although obviously it's good because it means the Rockets are more likely to win). The guy was very professional while he was here in the face of some fairly difficult circumstances (the blocked trade, etc.) and while he never worked his way into the 'fan favourite' status like Scola, Hayes etc. I don't bear him any hard feelings.

I feel very conflicted on Martin as well.  I always felt he faded during big moments and seeing him do it in OKC hasn't been a large surprise.  But I do feel bad for the ex-Rocket.  I think he is ruining his contract year right now.

I loved him on our team, and I'll always have a soft spot for him in my heart. With that said, every time he clanks a shot, it makes me happy, if only because it helps us get closer to a win.

Matt Maloney an his Ghost cost us Rockets fans again. Had to bring up Martin's bad shooting and in game 6 he goes off. You don't jinx your team like that.
