He has a lot to work on in the offseason. If he doesn't improve his skills, then no, he's not the answer.
He's probably the least fundamental and least skilled of any starting point guard in the league. Just horrendous fundamentals. Makes sense considering he played shooting guard in college. Never gets low when he dribbles, never keeps his dribble tight, can't dribble with his left hand, can't make left handed layups, can't play slow. He also has no moves.
His game is basically 1) good vision and 2) elite quickness. He's dependent on just blowing right by his man and getting to the hoop. If he can't do that, then he can't help you.
