@  Mario Peña : (10 October 2015 - 01:12 PM) If your part if the Red94 Fantasy Basketball League check the thread to vote for the date and time for the draft event. Thanks y'all!
@  jorgeaam : (07 October 2015 - 08:47 PM) Guys we need 1 more owner for the Red94 fantasy league, if interested please comment on the post in the fantasy basketball thread
@  slick shoes : (07 October 2015 - 06:50 PM) Kobe ranked one spot higher than Ariza? Is this based on legacy or...??
@  slick shoes : (07 October 2015 - 04:13 PM) It was hard to keep up with both the Astros and Rockets at the same time. Should be interesting on Thursday with the Texans and Astros on simultaneously.
@  Mario Peña : (07 October 2015 - 04:09 PM) It was fun to have the Rockets on last night! Right now I'm watching the Celtics versus Milan and Alessandro Gentile is impressive.
@  jorgeaam : (06 October 2015 - 07:47 PM) Well, thinking twice about it, I'd rather have him score less and have the team as a whole do better. Lawson should take a lot of his load off
@  jorgeaam : (06 October 2015 - 07:47 PM) Loving that, hope he hits 30 PPG this year
@  thejohnnygold : (06 October 2015 - 06:15 PM) Someone is feeling confident :) : LINK
@  jorgeaam : (06 October 2015 - 05:54 PM) 10 Teams done, will need 2 more
@  Mario Peña : (06 October 2015 - 02:35 PM) Alright guys, if anyone is interested in joining the Red94 fantasy basketball league we could use one more player to get us to 10 teams (or three to get us to 12 teams). Just check the thread in the Fantasy Basketball forum. Thanks!
@  thejohnnygold : (05 October 2015 - 06:23 PM) I use leaguepass here in Austin with no problems...
@  skip 2 my lou : (05 October 2015 - 03:14 PM) Hey fellas, I'm a rocket fan but I live in the heart of Dallas. Does anybody know if I buy NBA Leaguepass if it's too close to be subject to blackouts?
@  Losthief : (02 October 2015 - 02:24 AM) tks jg
@  thejohnnygold : (29 September 2015 - 05:16 AM) FYI, it was media day today. Interviews are up at NBA.com
@  slick shoes : (23 September 2015 - 06:37 PM) kind of late in the day but NBATV is broadcasting classis Rockets games all day today.
@  SadLakerFan : (16 September 2015 - 04:37 AM) Man, as a Laker fan, I'm learning how little you care about the off season when your team sucks. Anyway, a quick moment to remember Moses. Still remember watching the 81 team as a kid - losing record, NBA Finals. I would have cried w/joy if they could have beaten the Celtics.
@  jorgeaam : (15 September 2015 - 08:30 PM) http://bleacherrepor...ist-after-crash
@  jorgeaam : (15 September 2015 - 08:30 PM) So to celebrate his new contract, Montrezl Harrell saved someone's life on monday
@  thejohnnygold : (14 September 2015 - 04:36 PM) A good article from Blinebury talking about when Hakeem and Moses used to play in the park. LINK
@  rockets best... : (14 September 2015 - 02:29 AM) I agree totally. I got to watch his Rocket days and the man was a hell of a player. BIG MO R.I.P.

You all know my thoughts on Les Alexander. I really hope Morey truly feels Lin is worth this money and it's not a case of Les Alexander hoping to reopen those Chinese sponsorship opportunities. The cynic in me leans towards the latter.

You could be right, Rahat, about Alexander. On the other hand, if the Lin deal is structured in the same way as Asik's, you get a relatively cap-friendly contract now and a nice expiring contract down the road. So if it is 5-5-12, that's considerably cheaper than Dragic's asking price and gives the Rox more flexibility, though I'd rather have Dragic than Lin. If we don't get Lin, then maybe the plan is to blow the team up and start over. If that's the case, then letting Lee goes make sense.

How would you all feel about a team that fielded Lin, Gordon, Parsons, Asik, and then someone like Gasol or Al Jefferson (via Lowry/Scola/Martin trade)?

If they can stay on the court and not in a suit due to injury, it would be a competitive group.

One wild week is putting it lightly!

I'd love that team--defensively very sound and with just enough offensive firepower to be a "true" contender. But it seems that kind of team is a long way off, especially with Gordon seeming a remote possibility. Maybe Lin, Martin, Parsons, Asik, and Gasol is more likely--a defensively challenged backcourt offset by good shooting and a strong overall frontcourt.

Nash wants a ring, or a lot of money. The Rockets can offer neither(barring some other huge moves..)

It is pretty sad that we could have locked Lin and Dragic up for dirt cheap last year and now we will be paying them 5+ times more than we would have a year ago! Boo!

Gordon has signed a max deal with Phoenix. That might take Phoenix out of the Dragic sweepstakes, though it is hard to know. I never considered Gordon a real possibility with the Rockets. How many teams can have $10 million in cap space for Dragic, especially since Portland offered Hibbert a max deal?

I think that lineup could make a deep run in the playoffs, and maybe even contend. I'd be much more happy with Gasol than Jefferson though, because I think Gasol is a far superior defender and passer.

Just want to throw this one out there...in case none of these trade scenarios work out. I think Terrence Jones has the potential to be a slightly-less athletic but smarter version of Josh Smith.

I could see Gordon being great for us in multiple ways! First Does Phoenix have the cap to sign Gordon and then drop 10 Million on Dragic? Second, if this pisses NO off and they don't want Gordon to go to the Suns, they would be willing to do a sign and trade. I am assuming that we have way better trade assets for NO than Phoenix does! Either way, we get Gordon or Dragic and possibly Gordon and Lin!

If the Rockets let Dragic walk, then they just let the best free agent in years leave the team. Morey is cheap and Lex is cheaper. Yeah, i know Lex would pay for a superstar, but why the hell dont you wanna develop your own superstar.
Pay Dragic his worth, its not his fault Lowry is getting underpaid.
If management lets Dragic walk, and pays Asik 8.4 mil per year, then know they dont wanna win, they just wanna maximize profits and be average every year
Its sad anyone ever thought we had a shot at Gordon and Howard.
I even said earlier Mavs letting their free agents walk in order to have cap room to sign Howard and D-Will this summer was dumb cos they didnt have a shot.
You hold onto your free agents with potential. You always do. Thats loyalty. You short change your players, it will come back to hurt.
I dont care about Lowry, Landry, Brook (players Rockets tried to underpay)- Dragic should be their cornerstone.
Dragic should have been number one priority, not freaking Asik

I think the Rockets should have foucsed on resinging Dragic before going after Asik. Dragic is more important because when he did good the Rockets usually won. Asik is a great team defender but Chicago's defense scheme lead to him being good. I don't think the Rockets can justify giving asik 8 million and letting Dragic walk.

No doubt having Lin would be as-good or better than having an All-star from a marketing standpoint.
From a basketball perspective, I wonder if he could be as successful running the high screen and roll with Asik as he was with Chandler. Thoughts?

Although the Knicks still could match (assuming we actually offer). They have plenty of money and wouldn't be afraid to pay the luxury tax.

I don't think so. I still cant believe how much we gave to Omer Asik. I have a feeling that 10 mil isn't really going to happen with Dragic and he'll come back down to Earth and maybe we can get him for 8. 10 is kinda ridiculous. Just drop everyone and let the rookies play. That's what I wanna see.
