@  thejohnnygold : (29 September 2015 - 05:16 AM) FYI, it was media day today. Interviews are up at NBA.com
@  slick shoes : (23 September 2015 - 06:37 PM) kind of late in the day but NBATV is broadcasting classis Rockets games all day today.
@  SadLakerFan : (16 September 2015 - 04:37 AM) Man, as a Laker fan, I'm learning how little you care about the off season when your team sucks. Anyway, a quick moment to remember Moses. Still remember watching the 81 team as a kid - losing record, NBA Finals. I would have cried w/joy if they could have beaten the Celtics.
@  jorgeaam : (15 September 2015 - 08:30 PM) http://bleacherrepor...ist-after-crash
@  jorgeaam : (15 September 2015 - 08:30 PM) So to celebrate his new contract, Montrezl Harrell saved someone's life on monday
@  thejohnnygold : (14 September 2015 - 04:36 PM) A good article from Blinebury talking about when Hakeem and Moses used to play in the park. LINK
@  rockets best... : (14 September 2015 - 02:29 AM) I agree totally. I got to watch his Rocket days and the man was a hell of a player. BIG MO R.I.P.
@  Mario Peña : (13 September 2015 - 05:24 PM) Sad to see Moses pass. I don't remember watching him as a Rocket but I do remember his Philly and Hawks teams. He was the perfect man to mentor Dream. It's a very sad day for his family and friends and there are many.
@  majik19 : (12 September 2015 - 09:01 PM) i just saw a post wishing Yao Ming a happy 35th birthday... am I the only one whose mind is blown that he's only 35?
@  cointurtlemoose : (08 September 2015 - 01:17 AM) aaaah, thanks jorge
@  jorgeaam : (08 September 2015 - 12:21 AM) Love it how Hinkie and Morey always target the same players, but hoping he isn't another Covington
@  thejohnnygold : (08 September 2015 - 12:03 AM) Christian Wood has signed with Philly
@  jorgeaam : (07 September 2015 - 10:32 PM) If I'm not wrong, he hasn't been waived yet, they have until october 4th to do that
@  cointurtlemoose : (07 September 2015 - 05:39 PM) Anyone else surprised that Kostas hasn't gotten picked up by anyone yet? I wanna see that guy play somewhere
@  redfaithful : (05 September 2015 - 10:48 PM) Llull line from today loss to Serbia: 30MIN 1-10PG, 0-5 3PG, 4-4FT 6AST, 1TO, 4REB, +/- -11

You know, looking at White's size and skill set, it kinda reminded me of LBJ. Not last week's LBJ, but circa 2006. 6'8", handles the rock like a guard, great passing skills, touch as a shooter... he is definitely a matchup nightmare for many 3's (re: LBJ). And I agree with Alituro - he has potential. There's a reason Bill Simmons was crying over this pick.

As for Jones - I saw a lot of his stuff at KY, and I dunno. Yes, he was on a championship caliber team, but he checked out WAY too often. Talent, yes - but ALL these guys have talent.

What do we do with the rest of the forwards, at this point? Can't imagine a team trading for more than 2. Try to sign-n-trade for Kaman? Or Al Jefferson? What are the LAL bigs valued at?

As far as LAL bigs value...bynum is untouchable unless you're giving up DH. Was a deal for pau that was shot down for the #2 to LAL, Derrick Williams to Charlotte, and Pau to Minnesota. No wonder it was rejected...good move MJ.

Lakers over value pau who they don't even want that much, they want the farm for Bynum.
White does have potential but he isn't anything like lebron lol.

Perhaps Lamar Odom is a slightly more apt comparison for White? Hopefully Royce won't fall apart mentally like Odom has though.

Physically, I say yes. The scary part is emotionally he may be a Ron-Ron. Intelligently though, from what I read he may be more like Hayes/Battier. coupled with his size and athleticism, can be dangerous. There was a reason they called Lamar "Odumb"

I don't understand why people are freaking out so much, y'all are acting like the season starts tomorrow. We got the best picks available and honestly white and Lamb were steals. Lamb and white play uptempo basketball and are stellar defenders, so its obvious they are sticking with a uptempo team. What would make most sense is if the Rockets went after hibbert or javalee McGee. Regardless though we have plenty of pieces to deal. Can't believe someone was high enough to suggest we would trade for Rondo.

So did anyone hear White won't fly?

Odom is probably a decent comparison from what ive read. I dont think his issues are on the scale of Ron Ron though lol. And as far as Twitter goes, the one of the three making ANY noise about being excited about being in Houston is royce white. I wonder how the presser went.

It seems like a lot of his issues were caused because he wasn't sure what was wrong with him, but since identifying the problem and being able to focus on that he has improved dramatically. If y'all haven't read the article on Royce via grantland I would suggest doing so, pretty good read.

Steals? Not even close, a steal is OKC getting PJ3 end of first round.

You're the only person I've ever heard saying he'll be perfectly fine and was a steal. He has a serious condition and it's not simply he just doesn't like to fly.

Yes, he has a serious condition. But it does not stop him from flying - he flew to a lot of his college games, even going to a training camp in Italy. He just prefers not to when he can. So as far as I'm concerned the flying thing is a not a big deal at all. I'm sure there are plenty of other athletes who would prefer not to have to fly anywhere, it's just that White is honest and open about it.

PJ3 will not be a steal. He'll ride the pine behind Durant!

PJ3 may be a quality 6th man after Harden leaves. Before someone says it, I've heard the rumors that Harden said "we've got something special why would I leave". When he's offered several million more by another contender we will see if that something special is worth the money.

pj3 based on his projection and potential is a skill. He was top 5 lottery pick last year but like Barnes hurt his draft stock by returning.
Even this year, he was projected to go late in lottery but concerns came up about his knees before the draft.

He was a big steal by OKC. He is a pf, he worked out as a sf cos he thought that will boost his draft stock even higher but it back fired.
He can back up both Ibaka and Durant. But he's a definitely a steal.
