Wow! I'd be shocked if that's all it takes to get the #5. Though I'm sure we'd be taking back a bad contract too to offset Dally, which is fine by me.
I think by now Morey giggles and rubs his hands together whenever he gets a phone call from Sacramento.

PG- Goran Dragic
SG- Tyreke Evans
SF- Chandler Parsons
PF- Patrick Patterson
C- Dwight Howard
That team would no doubt be at least a top 4 team in the West . Im just stating the player Morey should go after if we actually get Dwight , which is Tyreke Evans , so he would sign a long term deal with us . But even if Morey was to pull off aquiring just Dwight Howard , that would stop the critics who say Daryl Morey and Les Alexander dont care about winning and that Morey is a bad/ mediocre GM .

I'd guess a 3-6 finish, I still think OKC wins the West and as for #2 the Spurs with one last run(for the hundredth time).I think that Dwight/Parsons/Lee/Dragic pretty much guarantees a top-4 finish. The question is whether that's enough to convince him to stay.
By leaving out a PF Im guessing you think we need to make a move there to get the all-star he wants to play with? Sounds like Gasol would be a stretch if Howard works out(assuming we'd have no picks left, no lowry, and whatever else we give).
As far as Free Agent PF's go we have:
Garnett(you mentioned on Twitter)-Best case scenario in my opinion.
Duncan-Not really a free agent...everyone knows he's a spur for life
Ilyasova-I'd pass. Id rather see what Motie has(if we retained him)
Ryan Anderson- Played better w/o Howard, so no thanks
Humphries- maybe second best choice aside from Garnett
Landry- IDK how he'd feel about a return, I'd rather see what Motie's got though.
Bass- everything points to him remaining a Celtic
Kenyon Martin- that makes for a tough front-court that I'd watch for sure.
I realize not all of the ones listed are all-stars or even that caliber but they are the top of the FA PF's in my opinion(not in that order though).

That's the sole reason I only listed the free agents. As far as if morey can get dwight he could easily get Gay, with assets sure...the problem is having too few left to part with. Free agents become our best way of acquiring a solid player. And i disagree Garnett would give us Howard, Camby, Garnett, and possibly scola/motie/Patt depending on who is left. That would be the best front in the game. And the only reason i only listed PFs is because that was the only spot open unless youre moving parsons to the 4, which is absurd.^I'd be all for Rudy Gay, but at that point, what would we have left to give Memphis?

Anderson played much much worse without Howard. Has no ability to create his own shot which is why he played well with Howard as a spot up shooter.

PG - Williams
SG - Lee
SF - Parsons
PF - Patterson
C- Howard
With Camby the backup big. Bud/ Morris the backup wing. Monte backup big. All that's missing is a backup pg.

Also, the relationship between him n Howard got icy after Howard failed to opt out.
I think Howard was caught between promises to Williams and trying to be a good guy for Orlando. However the manner in which he was vilified especially by van gundy and management has led to be strongly against the magic. But since he gave up his right to free agency, he has no right over where he ends up even tho he's threatening not to resign.
We have no shot at Williams. If he can't get Howard or another star in Brooklyn to start a new dynasty in a new town, he's going to dallas to team up with nowitzki

Howard and dwill want to play together if howard signs and extension we would have a shot at dwill. The mavs don't have much room to improve dirk is old and so is just about everyone on that team. Houston would have to be an option for dwill.Deron has said his only two options are nets and mavs. And he's actually an unrestricted free aget unlike Howard and there has 100% control over where he goes.

Even if we somehow got the 8 and 5 I wouldn't mind keeping them and getting Drummond and Waiters. Of course if it was for an extended Dwight I would rather have him but for a rental when we would basically have Dwight 2.0 in Drummond it would be a tough decision.
Saying you have Dwight 2.0 in a player that may never even be a starter in the league is insane. Hasheem Thabeet, anyone?
