Do you think T-Mac has done enough in his career so far to make the HOF, considering the fact that he has never officially made it past the first round, or won any MVPs, or shown up to a game after making the rallying cry and currently plays for the Atlanta Jokes who are not going anywhere soon

yes t-mac will make the HOF. he has enough allstar appearances to get in. now whether or not he should get in based on his performance is another issue. just shows how low the standard is now.
you can only warn a man that the bridge is out.....if he keeps driving he's on his own

i doubt making all star games and winning 2 scoring titles are the major criterias for getting into the HOF

Not at this point, which means probably never. All Star appearances and 2 scoring titles are not enough when you can't get your team anywhere past the regular season. A finals trip or two and maybe so, but he couldn't do it and at this time that wouldnt be enough either as he isn't of enough importance to a team.

ralph sampson is in the HOF with no scoring titles and only a couple of all star appearances. so why shouldn't t-mac get in

ralph sampson achieved more in his career than t-mac and had more than a "couple" of all stars.
And the most important reason of all, T-MAC has never officially made it past the first round of the playoffs.
I can understand if you are a grreat player and you never win a championship in your career, but to never win a playoff series- EVER- what kind of greatness is that

I have to agree he doesn't make it. Too many people confuse team success with individual success. There was a five year span where McGrady was the best offensive player on the planet and an above average defender (I know shocking, but in spurts he could guard the other teams best guy, he would just get run down at the end of games because every team he played on had him and not much else). He just had the misfortune of playing on flawed teams and meeting the Jazz in the first round a bunch of times (although the year Rafer got hurt we would have beat them and no one can tell me different).
T-Mac was a great player and a good guy but an NBA resume has as much to do with the guys around you as it does with you.
Question do you think Melo will be remembered as this generations TMac?

@ Chichos- i brought up the topic cos i almost got mobbed at the gym for suggesting t-mac did not have a hof career.
As for Melo, he has at least gotten past the first round and actually made it to the Western conference finals

True Melo made it to Conference Finals but I think he will be labeled as a guy you can't go all the way with. He should have talked to Amare's knee doctor before he pushed for that trade.
